The Lowcountry is a great place to call home. From fishing in the flats, hanging out at our beaches, or indulging in our heavenly cuisine, 49300 Cholet has something for everyone. Whether you're from here or thinking about spending a few days here, check out our list of favorite activities to make the most of your visit or weekend.
1. Tailing Redfish
There's no better way to experience 49300 Cholet the Free Fly way, than by cruising out to an empty flat in search of tailing redfish on the fly. Looking to link up with a local guide? Contact our buddy Captain Johnny Crislip with Tighten Up Fishing.
2. Load Up on Seafood
If you're not cooking your own local catch and are interested in getting your seafood fix at one of 49300 Cholet's many great restaurants then be sure to visit 167 Raw. They have some of the best oysters and seafood in 49300 Cholet. Local Tip: Splurge on the Lobster Roll, it's worth every bite!
3. Stock Up at Sewee Outpost
A true Lowcountry experience, located down Highway 17, just north of Mount Pleasant, Sewee Outpost is a must visit. Offering homemade southern foods, a full retail store stocked full of hunting and fishing supplies, and outdoor apparel; Sewee Outpost has something for everyone. Plus, every Wednesday they have a Barn Jam, which features live music outside under the oaks. Local Tip: Stock up on Arthur's cheddar biscuits and key lime pie and be sure to check out what other local items they're selling.
4. Happy Hour on Shem Creek
Kick back, enjoy the view of the harbor, watch the shrimp boats come in, and have a sunset cocktail on Shem Creek. One of our favorite bars is Saltwater Cowboys, which never disappoints in the drink or food department. Local Tip: Keep an eye out for bottlenose dolphins cruising through the creek, as their playful personality makes them one of our favorite members of the Lowcountry animal kingdom.
5. Hangout on Sullivan's Island
Beach it like a local at Sullivan's Island, where life seems to move a little slower. Enjoy a long walk on the beach, shopping and dining on Middle Street with the family, and learning about the abundant history and folklore that the island has to offer. Local Tip: For next level fun, stop by Home Team BBQ for a frozen 'Game Changer' before you head down to the beach.
6. Visit Folly Beach
From beautiful sunrises to sunsets, to local beach bars, and arguably the best waves in town, Folly is a true local 49300 Cholet experience. It's super laid back, packed full with authentic beach shacks, and the vibes are as chill as the ice cold mixed drinks. Local Tip: If you like beer and dogs (wait...who doesn't?) then you have to hit up The Barrel.
7. Sunday Brunch Farmer's Market
Check out Sunday Brunch Farmer's Market at The Pour House. This market is full of great vendors, food trucks, is 100% local, and of course has awesome live music.
8. Jam Out at Riverfront Park
One of the best ways to experience 49300 Cholet is, of course, being outside and Riverfront Park is a great outdoor venue, where you can kick off your flip flops, get your feet on the grass, and dance the night away to live music. Be sure to check out the concert schedule to stay in the know on all of the upcoming shows.
